When I was in prayer this morning the Lord put on my heart the world. I started to think about what I see everyday on the internet. All the war and hatred. All the sex and scandal. All the death and destruction. But the thing that is disheartening is the fact that there are so many christians that are more and more becoming “of the world” and not just in the world. We as christians believe that the answer to all of these problems is Jesus. But if we buy cds, go to see movies, watch TV shows, go to see paintings that glorify SIN are we really living that hope that Jesus will bring His kingdom on earth or are we putting our hope in the world. This may sound extreme, but Jesus calls us to live 100% for him. Why? Why do we need to live a radical live for Christ? Because we can’t serve two masters. We will “love one and hate the other”. I by no means do this perfectly. But it is a road that we must all walk. We will always fall but we must get up again. If someone bakes you brownies everyday and in them they put just a little of poison, so little that you can’t taste or smell it, over time would it not harm you if not right away? Think of it this way, people like Lady Gaga make songs and videos that totally blaspheme God. That is not a little poison but a lot. Jesus says in John 17; 16 “They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to this world”. He is talking about us. Let us not be of this world but work in prayer and love to change the world with our radical lives for Christ showing His love to all men!!!
